Today we want to teach you how to make fun with shaving foam. At Lifelong Learning Centres we love nothing more than having serious fun, and with this how to guide you can do exactly that today!
Shaving foam is an amazing, messy, sensory experience that uses all five senses of touch, smell and sound. A true wonderland of texture the foam will change and reform in your child’s hands. If you add in some colour and patterns, or bury some toys inside you can add to the sense of discovery and play. This activity encourages children to manipulate and mould materials, building their fine motor skills and coordination.
What you’ll need:
Method:
-
Spray shaving cream foam around the bottom of the tray.
-
Mix through a few drops of food colouring.
-
Draw in the shaving cream with the paintbrush.
-
Add your rubber toys in the clouds of foam.
-
ENJOY!

We love this activity as it creates curiosity in children and helps them reflect on what they are doing. Fun play based activities develop a love of lifelong learning and encourages them to take the lead.
