Benefits of Sensory Play with Sand

Age group: Toddlers (1-3 years old)

Sensory play with sand can help stimulate your child's senses: touch, smell, sight, taste, movement, hearing. This activity invites children to investigate naturally and start early introductions of science and experimentation.

Research indicates that sensory play supports brain development - leading to language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills and social interaction. Prompt conversations during play to enhance social skills and to encourage your child to verbalise what they are doing.
