Milestones Early Learning Cootamundra and the wider team at Affinity Education Group recently celebrated a special milestone for Centre Manager, Danielle Wilson-McCaffery.
The much-loved Early Childhood Teacher and Centre Manager, Danielle has been recognised for her long service at the centre. Area Manager, Karen Pollard and Affinity Education CEO, Tim Hickey were thrilled to be able to present this award to Danielle as a formal recognition for her many years of outstanding work as part of the Affinity Education family.
Area Manager, Karen Pollard said “We are so lucky to have such dedicated and talented staff working in our Centres. The culture here at Affinity really encourages employees building up their skill set and progressing in their career – and Danielle is a perfect example of this at work!”
Danielle started her career in a part-time inclusion support position, where she met a young boy who contracted CMV in-utero. That friendship (that is still strong today!), sparked her passion for advocacy for CMV - especially in the early education and child care industry.
Her passion for early education and support didn't end there - she completed her Bachelor degree whilst working as Lead Educator and Assistant Centre Manager at Milestones Cootamundra. After graduation, she proudly accepted the Centre Manager role; a role that she has loved for the past five and a half years.
"I love the culture we have built here at our centre - we are a giant family", explained Danielle.
"Children love spending their days here - they build beautiful relationships with educators and peers, and the child-led activities like Bush Kindy; allows endless exploration and fun."
