Family Update | Victorian COVID-19 Step-Down Plan

Great news, families!   

The Victorian Premier has announced relaxed guidelines for early education and care settings as of 15 April 2021.  

Our COVID-19 Response Team have reviewed the State Government update along with our internal COVID response policies and procedures. You can review the latest updates from the Victorian Government here or take a look at our community approach here.

While you may have experienced the updated guidelines in your centre, we would like to refresh you on these updates and what they mean for your family. The following updates have been implemented in all our childcare centres in Victoria, as of 15 April 2021.  

  1. Drop-off and pick-up zones remain in place. 
  2. Temperature checks will remain mandatory for employees however will be relaxed and optional for families. 
  3. Face masks are optional for families and staff.  
  4. Staff physical distancing of 2sq/mt per person.  
  5. Incursions and excursions have recommenced. 
  6. Tours and Stay-and-Play sessions have recommenced. 
  7. Families visiting centres are to complete a visitor declaration, practice social distancing and practice good hand hygiene when entering centres. 

The health and hygiene of our children and families continues to be one of our highest priorities and we appreciate your cooperation and support.
