Egg’citing fun at Papilio Early Learning Centres

This month our centres are celebrating Egg’citing April by creating Easter based activities that are designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities and of course have fun!

This week one of our NSW based centres, Papilio Early Learning North Strathfield Orange organised sensory based activities, an Easter hunt and arts and crafts for the children in their nursery, toddlers, and prep room.

The children loved the big sensory bin which promotes the development of sensory, investigative, language and social skills, but also is a fun and safe activity for the children to enjoy.

Lauren Pedler, Centre Manager, at Papilio Early Learning North Strathfield Orange said, “Our sensory bin allowed the children to freely explore their many senses. Using various materials, children of all ages were able to dig in and use their hands to feel and explore.”

Papilio Early Learning Robina in QLD celebrated Easter with their children by having exciting activities such as Easter crafts, egg hunts, easter disco’s and an Easter cook off.

Emma Niceski, Assistant Centre Manager at Papilio Early Learning Robina said, “The egg hunt demonstrated that children can locate items with remarkable skill when they are truly motivated. For educators, this holds a special significance, as it presents a wondrous opportunity to foster a child's imagination and curiosity about the world.”

Papilio Early Learning Pitt Town, located in NSW, provided their children with a sensory Easter egg hunt, celebrating Easter whilst allowing the children to be involved entirely throughout the whole process.

Georgia Micallef, 3IC, at Papilio Early Learning Pitt Town, said, "Seeing the children's excitement as they searched through the tray for plastic eggs and tiny bunnies was heartwarming. This fun-filled activity stimulated their senses and facilitated their language development by providing opportunities for them to express their feelings."
