Why choose a centre offering the Lifelong Learning Curriculum for the first year of care?
During their first year, our Lifelong Learning Curriculum supports babies in developing trusting relationships with people and the confidence to explore and understand the physical environment; With this secure foundation, learning in other areas can flourish. The learning experiences, based around play schemas, support those first connections and exploration, allowing emotional security, self-identity and self-confidence to emerge.
Natasha Perrins, Senior Educator Advisor for Affinity Education Group stated, "The circle of security, a well-researched and proven effective model for enhancing relationship and learning, is established and maintained for every child through our Key Educator approaches and programs designed to foster play schemas.
“Research continues to demonstrate how important secure attachments are for infants in their first year of life, and our Healthy Beginnings Curriculum ensures all infants have attuned and responsive adults, who prioritise getting to know each child, ensuring experiences in play and relationship are provided that are individualised to infants and enhance their learning.”
