This month, we are highlighting the Lifelong Learning Curriculum, Australia's most progressive approach to early education that operates within all our Early Learning Centres. Our Educators implement this program to support our little learners to reach their full potential. Working with our talented and passionate educators, we have expanded our educational focus to include contemporary, evidence-informed practices and programs to provide your child with the best environment to start their Lifelong Love of Learning.
Our Lifelong Learning Approach aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and offers a rich combination of play-based and intentional teaching. This Curriculum draws on the best early education models, contemporary research and evidence-informed practices such as Circle of Security, Abecedarian, and Project Based learning. The Lifelong Learning Curriculum is based on what children learn, where they learn and how they learn.
Our Curriculum is unique because it is adapted to three key learning stages in a child's experiences in their first five years. The first program is the Healthy Beginnings program for our babies from birth to one year of age. The second program is Early Experiences for toddlers aged one to three, and the third is a two-year School Readiness or Kindergarten or Preschool program for our three to five-year-old children.
We intend to support every child to develop in four critical areas:
Social Connectivity:
While children belong to their families first, our focus is to welcome them into our community, where they'll develop those amazing first friendships.
Emotional Confidence:
Children learn best when they believe that they have the ability to learn new things.
Foundational Learning:
Children who gain an early grasp of literacy, numeracy and STEM will thrive in primary school and beyond.
Physical Health and Wellbeing:
Children given a great start in these areas will benefit for their whole life, no matter what age your child joins us.
We ensure that our Educators have the resources and the training at their fingertips to enable them to develop a Lifelong Love of Learning for every child in our care. Over more than 30 years of working in Early Education in this sector, I've never been more confident than I am right now that through our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, we can help every child in our care to reach their full potential.
