Celebrating Early Childhood Educators

Lifelong Learning Centres are proud to participate in 2019 Early Childhood Educators Day, an annual event created by the Australian Childcare Alliance to recognise the work of Australia’s educators.

This year, more than 3,000 educators from Lifelong Learning Centres' 160 childcare centres around Australia are sharing morning teas, family appreciation events, and soaking up congratulations and well-wishes from children, parents and their fellow educators, in personal messages and gifts delivered to the centre, appreciation posters and displays. It’s all part of wider celebrations for Early Learning Matters Week which is in its second year.

Our Affinity Education Group Head Office sending well wishes to all our Lifelong Learning Centre educators.

“It’s not every job that allows you to shape the lives of children and nurture them to grow. The work of our Early Childhood Educators is so important to build a foundation for lifelong learning in the children of today,” said Education Manager Fiona Young.

To thank our staff this Early Childhood Educators Day we have spoken to some truly inspirational Educators and asked them to share their stories.

  1. Teaching children about diversity

  2. Education isn’t just about the books

  3. Why lifelong learning is a lifelong career

Why lifelong learning is a lifelong career

Early Childhood Education isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle. Educators step into their centres everyday knowing they are changing the lives of children and forging their love of lifelong learning. For many, this brings them so much joy and they treasure everyday of their careers for many years. One such Educator is Diona Driver, Centre Manager at Premier Early Learning Centre Moruya, New South Wales.
