Celebrating Early Childhood Educators Day

Today, Early Childhood Educators Day, is a very special day for our community. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and thank our teachers and educators for their dedication and commitment to ensuring high-quality early learning opportunities for all children.

Our community is proud to have more than 3000 educators across more than 190 centres. These educators are doing incredible work. Each day they help build the future of our country by nurturing the children in their care and instilling in them the skills and curiosity they need to confidently step into the world as lifelong learners.

All across Australia, families and colleagues are raising their voices to say "thank you" to the inspiring people who instil a lifelong love of learning into the children of our nationwide community.

In a special message to our community of educators and teachers, Dr Lesley Jones, Senior Advisor of Pedagogy and Practice, shared, “It has been a humbling experience to witness the resilience and dedication of our people to making a difference in the lives of children through the most tumultuous times in modern history.”

She continued, “The focus on doing what’s right for children and their families in the face of adversity and rising to this challenge each and every day is something our people should all be very proud of.”

Affinity Education Group CEO Tim Hickey shares this sentiment, saying, “We are very proud to acknowledge our passionate and dedicated educators who inspire little minds and to commemorate their valuable contribution to our communities.”

He continues, “The benefits of early education last a lifetime. Our educators are not just caring for children throughout the day; they are inspiring and empowering them to reach their full potential today, tomorrow, and into the future.”

This is why we support our people to realise their full potential – with ongoing training, development, appreciation, and recognition for the work they do.
